V’nishmartem: Cultivating Safety in Frum Psychedelic Space (Digital Download)
“Take exceeding care for yourselves…” (Devarim 4:15)
One of the core principles of the Jewish path is to be mindful of creating or putting oneself and others in unsafe or risk-filled situations. As Orthodox communities around the world gradually and enthusiastically embrace psychedelics for healing and ceremonial use, how can we begin to incorporate best practices around safety and risk mitigation, also known as harm reduction?
Join Shefa for a live webinar workshop featuring Erica Siegal, founder of NEST Harm Reduction and Shine Collective, in conversation with Erica Buchman, creator of the Psychedelics and the Frum Community WhatsApp group.
Participants will learn introductory knowledge about:
choosing ethical and culturally-competent facilitators
psychopharmacology and contraindications
informed consent
and specific questions regarding halacha and other Jewish sensitivities in psychedelic spaces
While this workshop is specifically designed for the frum community, everyone is invited to participate and learn together.
