Shefa: Channeling Divine Flow In and Out of Psychedelic States (Digital Download)
Shefa—flow or abundance in Hebrew—is an image used by Jewish mystics and philosophers to describe the outpouring of divine light, energy, or influence into human experience. One primary goal of Jewish mystical practice is to increase this flow between divinity and humanity by removing the obstructions between those spheres, in our minds and bodies, through expanded consciousness and daily practice. In this offering right before Shavuot, we will explore some foundational mystical texts describing shefa, and consider how contemporary psychedelic use could help us reawaken this image into a powerful practice for healing and growth. We will also make space for learning more about Shefa’s mission and vision for a psychedelic Judaism that is deeply rooted in its own mystical lineages and traditions.
